Through study of the structure of the human body, this class will enable students to capture the essence of the human figure and provide the confidence to express themselves within the figurative tradition. Working in clay from a life model, students will develop the skills of seeing, understanding, and reproducing the human form in all its complexities. We will focus on close visual observation to help us analyze and sculpt what we see. Completed figures will be fired. This class is for all levels with individual attention to each student’s project and needs within a supportive class environment.

Sealed plywood or melamine board approx 12”-16”, instructor will have some available for purchase

Cloth rags (t-shirt material or tea towels)
