As a non-profit, it is our goal to enrich lives, encourage creativity, and help others to appreciate art by providing a nurturing environment for engaging education and personal enjoyment. Please watch the video below to better understand why we need your support and to hear how you can make a difference.
An artist’s palette provides a foundation of their creativity. It is universal and allows the artist a place to mix colors and create. In the same way, philanthropy will provide The Academy with a strong foundation to grow its outreach and give the community the opportunity to find their creativity and inner voice.
We believe our work will preserve, sustain, and enhance the legacy in the visual arts for New Orleans and beyond. We need your support to make it so. Please consider making an online donation by clicking the DONATE link to use our secure online fundraising platform, Bloomerang.
While The Academy has been a non-profit organization for many years, revenue generated from classes has provided the majority of operational revenue. The time is now for The Academy to reach even deeper into the community and share its programs across New Orleans. Under the direction of an expanded Board of Directors and the extraordinarily talented faculty, The Academy is expanding its reach into the community and opening its doors to increase its impact.
With your philanthropic support, The Academy will:
Your financial support of The Academy makes it possible for The Academy to offer free access to state of the art exhibitions, to recruit talented artists as teachers in our arts classes, and to expand our programs across New Orleans.

The Academy is where art begins. Some artists who begin their journey at the Academy are later seen in museums, galleries, and homes around the world. We enrich lives, encourage creativity, and help others to appreciate art by providing a nurturing environment through engaging education and personal enjoyment.
The future of The Academy is bright, but financial support is needed to sustain its ability to foster and develop the next generation of visual artists across New Orleans, regardless of their social and economic backgrounds. We call on your generosity as we expand our fundraising efforts into the future and expand our reach deep into the community to ensure that all have access to the programs we offer.
