Abstract Sculpture: Exploring Non-Representational Ceramics

Learn to express yourself through form in this Abstract Sculpture course. Students will explore the concepts behind non-functional, non-representational ceramics, creating freestanding, handmade pieces using techniques such as:

Coil building
Pinching
Form molding
Slab construction

Emphasis will be placed on the elements and principles of art while crafting contemporary works in-the-round.

Class Features:

Weekly demonstrations and personal feedback in a supportive, encouraging environment.
Suitable for all skill levels, from beginners to experienced ceramicists.

At the end of the course, students will take home finished glazed ceramic pieces ready for display.

Learning Objectives:
