Course Description:
Watercolor is a medium of immediacy and transparency, capturing both representational and abstract expression through its swift brush-to-paper application.

In this class, students will:

Explore watercolor history, from its inception to the present, and its use in art history.
Learn foundational concepts, including personal expression and emotional depth.
Master essential techniques and applications, such as:
- Color mixing
- Brush control
- Layering and glazing
- Wet-on-wet and dry techniques

The course highlights watercolor's versatility in achieving both representational and abstract effects.

1-inch or greater blue painter’s tape
Paper towels
Spray mister bottle
10-well round palette tray
