Description:
This course provides both beginning and intermediate painting instruction:

Beginning Students:
- Introduction to the basic materials and traditional techniques of oil painting.
- Use of inanimate objects to develop pictorial composition skills.
- Acquired knowledge is essential for future Still Life, Figure, Portrait, and Landscape courses.
Intermediate Students:
- Instruction and guidance tailored to individual interests and proficiency levels.

Class Environment:

Classes are held in:
- Interior 2nd-floor painting studio with ample artificial lighting.
- Porch studio with north-facing large picture windows (available for students who purchase this option).
Each student is assigned a dedicated workspace for the semester.

Prerequisites:
Beginning Drawing or equivalent experience.

Please note in the comments if you prefer to stand, sit, or have no preference.
