This six-week watercolor class focuses on exploring watercolor techniques through color, texture, line, and value, all within the pages of a sketchbook.

Daily Journaling: Capture the world around you—daily thoughts, travel memories, to-do lists, or meaningful quotations.
Drawing/Drafting Skills: Record likenesses of people, pets, or places that hold meaning.
Creative Expression: Explore endless sources of inspiration with no fear of mistakes, filling your sketchbook with imaginative watercolor sketches.

Using watercolor allows for quick, colorful sketches and exciting "happy accidents" that bring your pages to life.

Supply Fee:
$45 (Includes a high-quality watercolor sketchbook with over 30 pages of cold-pressed, 100% cotton, acid-free watercolor paper.)

Required Supplies:

Watercolor Palette: Recommended: Robert Wood palette (available at David Art).
Watercolor Brushes:
- Sizes 6 or 8, 12, and 16
- 1" or 2" flat brush for washes (Recommended: Robert Simmons synthetic brushes—affordable and durable!)
Additional Brushes: Bring any watercolor brushes you own for discussion in the first class.
Small Water Sprayer: For wetting your watercolors.
Brush Rinsing Containers: Two, e.g., glass jars or plastic cups.
Paper Towels
Notebook and Pen
Drafting or Masking Tape

First Class Demo:
The instructor will give a color demonstration showcasing various watercolor brands and their wide range of options. If you prefer to wait until after this demo to purchase paints, bring whatever supplies you already have on hand.
