Beginning Drawing
Instructor: Phoebe Grace
This class will explore the expansive world of drawing, from observational life drawing to illustration, comic art, and cartoons. We will look at drawings from a variety of artists and places in history for inspiration, and learn new techniques for shading, perspective, capturing texture, and strong line work. Students will use graphite pencil, charcoal, and colored pencil in this class.
SUPPLIES:
• Small sketchbook – 11x14 or 8x10
• Large mixed media pad – 18x20 or 16x20
• Graphite pencils , 2H - 2B
• Charcoal sticks
• Blending sticks
• Colored pencils assortment
