Instructor: Jonathan Hodge

Description: In this course, we’ll cover many foundational principles and techniques to gain a firm grounding in the art of drawing. Students will study master works and do a series of different exercises aimed at understanding gesture, structure, basic forms, and simplification. We will learn comparative measurement, plumb lines, block-ins, terminator lines, and maybe even get into form turning (a.k.a. rendering). The juicy fun stuff. There will be class discussions, demos, and personalized critiques.
