Course Title: Illustrated Stories: Exploring the Art of Objects

Description:
The stories of our lives are intricately tied to the objects we possess. In this course, students will use in-studio drawing time and guided creative writing exercises to explore the physical trappings of their lives and uncover the tales they tell.

Each session will begin with:

  • Guided exercises in creative writing and drawing to review:
    • Essential elements of creative writing.
    • Basic design elements of the visual arts.

This will be followed by studio time to develop and work on substantial projects. By the end of the course, students will create a short series of illustrated works of creative writing.
