Ceramics for Littles (4-6 yrs)
Introduction to Clay and Ceramics for Kids - 6 week classes (You will choose the set of weeks in the next step)
1st set of 6 weeks = January 18 - March 8 (No class on Feb 22 & March 1)
2nd set of 6 weeks = March 15 - April 26 (No class on April 19)
Description:
This course is perfect for first-time clay learners, focusing on hand-building techniques to develop fine motor skills while creating unique, one-of-a-kind artworks.
What We’ll Do:
- Use kid-friendly tools to craft and form clay creations.
- Introduce color with underglaze towards the end of the course to add a vivacious finish.
- Each class will center around a theme, leading to a cohesive collection by the end.
Ceramics Process:
- Two firings are required for your child’s work:
- Bisque fire (to solidify the clay).
- Glaze fire (to apply a clear coat over the painting).
- Some pieces may take longer to dry and fire. Final pieces will be ready for pickup 1-2 weeks after the last class.
What to Bring:
- Water bottle
- Art clothes and snacks are welcome.
