Part 2: Beginning Photography SLR and Mirrorless Camera
The first class will include a quick review of what we learned in the first three classes.
We will:
- Learn how to control and set ISO (light sensitivity) of your camera to get the best images under varied lighting conditions.
- Cover an introduction to using electronic flash for filling shadows and in dark environments.
- Learn to master good exposure techniques and using the histogram in your camera.
- Further explore various lenses to expand the reach or widen the view of your photographs.
- Cover shutter release modes and various autofocus modes in more depth for making action images or securing accurate focus in portraiture or when using telephoto lenses.
- Learn hyperfocal focus techniques for making ultra-sharp landscapes.
- Explore post-processing methods using Photoshop Lightroom Classic image cataloger and editor.

Richard Vallon
Richard Vallon Jr. was born and raised in New Orleans. A graduate of ASU with a BFA (photography), he has enjoyed teaching photography since 1981. He has taught the UNO Metro College photo classes and classes at Lakeside Camera since 2004.
