Susu Kearney's "A Spring Garden" Brings Crowds to The Academy

On Saturday, April 5, 2025, the community at New Orleans Academy of FIne Arts celebrated the opening night of "A Spring Garden," the latest ceramic exhibition by local artist Susu Kearney.
The show's opening reception welcomed a large crowd of Academy students and teachers, as well as passionate New Orleans friends and art enthusiasts, generating buzz and excitement over the exhibition's 40 pieces of stunning ceramic flowers, vessels, totems, and more.
"Susu's Spring Garden represents an exciting evolution for the artist who has spent the last several years focused on her development of ceramics," remarked Academy Executive Director, Andrew J. Rodgers. "From the luscious layers of glaze and gold leaf to the delicate use of edges and form, Susu's show is a feast for the eyes and the Academy is lucky to have her work on display through April."
